Art Therapy
You sit down with materials and a therapist, and you start making something. That is where art therapy begins at Lousage Institute. We use it as a core part of your treatment plan because some things are easier to draw, paint, or shape than to say out loud.
How Art Therapy Works in Treatment
You'll sit down with paper, paint, clay, or whatever medium fits that day, and a licensed clinician will give you a prompt or let you work freely. No art skill needed. What you make becomes a way to say things that are hard to put into words, which is common when you're working through addiction, anxiety, trauma, or depression.
At Lousage Institute, we treat art therapy as one part of your plan, not a stand-in for it. We watch what surfaces in the work and adjust your goals as you make progress.
